Monarch Data Pump V9
Monarch Data Pump V9 is a "new and disruptive" BI solution which uniquely acquires, customises and delivers data primarily through Monarch Report Mining technology. Instead of relying on structured data sources, such as enterprise application production databases, which typically contain "raw" data with no business rules yet applied to them, Monarch Data Pump automatically transforms text and PDF-based reports and business documents, as well as structured data sources, into customised data, for easy delivery to the right people at the right time and in the right format, without programming.
Monarch Data Pump V9 is available in two versions, Standard and Professional:
Please view the Monarch Data Pump V9 datasheet here.
Monarch Data Pump Standard
Can be installed with up to 2 physical CPUs
Monarch Data Pump Professional
Can be installed on up to 32 physical CPUs
Web Services Interface
Web Admin Console
SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Integration
Remote Administration
Problem-Oriented Features
Automated, programming-free support of all desktop Monarch V9 Report Mining functionality, notably:
Exporting of summary data to Excel with subtotals and grand totals as live Excel formulas and optional Excel outlining
Exporting of MS Office 2007 OpenXML spreadsheets (xlsx)
Exporting MS Excel files with AutoFilter already activated
User-Defined Functions
Linked Objects in Monarch model
Monitoring of network folders for automatic running of Monarch Data Pump processes upon receipt of desired reports, PDFs etc.
MDP9 greatly increases monitoring capability: 62 file specifications per MDP process (MDP8.5 allows 62 file specs in total)
Strong integration with MS SharePoint
Enables reading of files from SharePoint (also as in Monarch V9)
Simplification of SharePoint KPI generation (new MDP9 feature):
MDP9 will create a macro-driven named range for each measure appearing in the last row of a summary
These named ranges can then be consumed by SharePoint to define SharePoint KPIs
Note, this works with xlsx files only
Customized data files (Excel, etc.) created by MDP can be exported into SharePoint with macro-driven file naming
High-volume production of data handled by MDP9 Professional
Up to 32 physical CPUs as noted above
All web-enabled administration capabilities are exclusive to MDP9 Professional
Web admin console uses MDP web service; works with any browser ("pure browser")
Enables remote administration
View & Run Processes
Cancel & Delete Jobs, View Job Logs
Check Server Status
Integration with SQL Server Information Services (SSIS) also exclusive to MDP9 Professional
SSIS replaces SQL Server Data Transformation Services (DTS) – Microsoft's own (very powerful) ETL tool
MDP9 (Professional) task will appear within SSIS "Toolbox"
Allows SSIS programmer to run MDP "custom tasks" within a SSIS workflow
For Existing MDP Customers: What's New in MDP9
Note: This section repeats some features previously noted above.
