Come to one of our workshop sessions and you will be introduced to report mining and shown practical solutions from the desktop to the enterprise level. There will also be presentations which will include overviews of the variety of report sources that can be analysed.
The goal of providing the right information to the right person at the right time, and in the right format, remains elusive for many organizations, despite heavy technology investments in powerful business intelligence and information delivery tools. This workshop promises to give you all the practical solutions you've been waiting for and best of all its absolutely free!
Spaces are limited so to reserve your place at the workshop located nearest to you contact our Desktop Products Manager, Kris Smith today on 01752 241 456.

A USEFUL READ
Looking for a valuable read? We recommend you download the Datawatch white paper: The Right Information to the Right Person at the Right Time: Making it a Reality.
It takes a brief look at the unique way in which successful organizations view technology and then assesses and selects the "right" technology solution that effectively provides the "right" information. It will also tell you how to avoid complex solutions that hinder instead of speeding up business processes.
The paper proposes Distribution Report Mining as a powerful yet simple information delivery and data ETL (Extraction, Transformation, Loading).
To find out why, download your full copy today, we promise you won't be disappointed!

HINTS AND TIPS
This month's Hints and Tips comes from our master in Training and Technical Support, Steve Caiels.
It's easy to sort a table either alphabetically or numerically in Monarch, but what if you want to create your own sort order? If, for example, you are responsible for Shipping and Production, you may want those at the top of your table, with all the other departments below. This can be achieved by creating a calculated field to sort on.
Assuming your department is held in a field called DEPARTMENT, the function Instr(DEPARTMENT, "Shipping - Production") will "rank" the Shipping department as 1 and the Production department as 12 because this is the starting position of the words in the list of departments.
Create a sort with your calculated field as a descending sort field and the department field as an ascending sort field and your table will be sorted as Production, Shipping, Accounting, Building Works, Canteen etc.
